ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC SCHOOL FEBRUARY, 2012
"BE THE VOICE OF GOD"
Dear Parents,
It is written in Corinthians: "Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not put on airs, it is not snobbish. Love is never rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not prone to anger; neither does it brood over injuries. Love does not rejoice in what is wrong but rejoices with the truth. There is no limit to love's forbearance, its trust, its hope, its power to endure. Love never fails."
The parent phase of the Annual Give has begun. Hopefully you have received your letter and contribution envelope. Once again, I ask all parents to return the contribution envelope. It is imperative that we have 100% participation from you. Last year we only had 55% of the parents to return the envelope. Even if you cannot give a monetary donation, please check the box that you will pray for our school. You may backpack the envelope to school or drop it in the collection basket at Mass. Thanks!
Speaking of the Annual Give, I would like to acknowledge Craig and Holly Halbig for all their efforts with this fund raiser for our school. They have done an outstanding job trying to reach our $70,000 goal!
Please remember that the Handbook states that no individual balloons or flowers may be delivered to SMS on Valentine's Day. These deliveries will not be accepted at school. The Lenten Season will begin on Wednesday, February 22nd. The classes will be offering sacrifices and doing acts of kindness both at school and at home. We will be praying the Stations of the Cross at various times in March so I hope you can join us.
Blessings to you,
Alice,
